Who is Donaat Brondeel?
A little word from our founder:
My name is Donaat Brondeel and I was born in Aalter, Belgium. I started riding at an early age, dressage and showjumping from the time I was old enough to sit on a horse. I started competing at regional shows in Belgium from 7 years old. Fast forward a decade and I went a few months to Henk Nooren’s barn in the Netherlands. This is where I discovered the professional way of coaching riders and training horses. In the same period I finished my study at the University of Ghent and got my degree, Master of Science in Movement and Sports Sciences with the option Sport training and Coaching. During my studies I also received the highest qualification, Trainer A Showjumping, from the Belgian equestrian federation.
With a bag of knowledge my brother and I took over the Breemeersen studfarm from our parents. We bought some talented young stallions and competed them at the national shows. Our most remarkable stallion Adorado was very succesfull in the classes of young horses. After a few medals at the Belgian and World Championships Young Horses we started international shows. 2 years later we got selected for the Belgian team to compete at the FEI Nations Cups. Offcourse we are very proud with the achievement of buying a 2yo stallion and producing him to the highest level. Together with the Belgian team we won at CSIO Lisabon and became second at CSIO Lummen and CSIO Kopenhagen.
Ever since I’m producing young horses with the goal to compete them at international shows. Besides training horses I also like to share my experience with other ambitous riders. My brother and I upgraded our training facilities during the years to train horses in the best circomstances.
It’s my mission to pass my knowledge to other riders so they can train their horses on a thoughtful and respectful way. We believe everyone should have access to practical advice that they can understand and bring into their riding program. Whether learning a new sport, training to compete or wanting to coach showjumping; we want to help you reach that next level.
